On Sunday, July 19th the First Hebrew Congregation hosted a dedication of the brand new Ben and Harriet Teitel Hall. The renovation was funded by a combination of donations from the congregation and a matching gift from the Teitel Charitable Trust. We were lucky enough to have Jerry Cook on hand to present a check on behalf of the trust.
About one hundred people attended the event anxious to see the finished work. The space turned out beautifully. Here are some memories from the day…
Lots of food, of course… And, even the Mayor attended!
Temple President Barry Fidelman addressing the assembled crowd.
Old friends getting a chance to catch up.
Rabbi Alan Cohen sharing some thoughts on the day.
And, more food (of course) …
Jerry Cook making some remarks. While, his brother affixes a mezuzah to the social hall entry.
It was great that Ben and Harriet Teitel’s family could be there in person to enjoy the day.
A little time to socialize after a short program.
Smiles all around. The perfect ending to a pretty great afternoon …
If you weren’t able to attend the dedication, please feel free to stop by and see just how beautiful the new Ben and Harriet Teitel Hall turned out. We’re sure you’ll be be impressed!
