The Fabulous Dorseys (1947) is a musical biopic about brothers Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, chronicling their journey from their Pennsylvania coal-mining childhood, through their rise to big band fame, their fiery on-stage feud leading to separate successful orchestras, and their eventual reunion, all while showcasing their hit songs and featuring cameos from other music stars. The fictionalized story highlights their musical talent but also their bickering tempers, with childhood friend Janie (Janet Blair) acting as a peacemaker, and includes a romantic subplot with pianist Bob Burton (William Lundigan).
